Methods to Fix NVIDIA Drivers Constantly Crash on Windows 10
Method 1: Update the Drivers from NIVIDA Website
The problem of NVIDIA Drivers Crashing will be solved by updating it from the official websites. You will easily get the driver updates from the site. For executing this method, follow these simple steps carefully.
Step 1: First of all you have to recognize the name and version of the driver installed on your Windows. If you don’t know the version, see the next step to obtain it.
Step 2: Press Windows Key + R and in the dialog box type “dxdiag” and hit enter.
Step 3: After searching the above term, the DirectX Diagnostic box will open. There will be two display tabs one for the integrated graphics card and another one will be of Nvidia’s. Click on the display tab and find out your graphics card.
Step 4: Now, go to the official website of the NVIDIA Graphics Card and navigate to the Downloads section. For this, Click Here.
Step 5: Search your driver by putting all the information and click Agree and download the drivers. See the image below for your reference.
Step 6: After successful download, install the driver and you have successfully updated your Nvidia drivers manually. This installation will take some time but you will have successfully updated your driver after that.
Method 2: Enable Graphics card and manually try to update Drivers
Step 1: Press Windows Key + R then type “devmgmt.msc” (without quotes) and hit enter to open Device Manager.
Step 2: The Device Manager will open. Now, expand Display adapters and right-click on your Nvidia Graphic Card and select Enable.
Step 3: After completing the above step, again right-click on your graphics card and select “Update Driver Software.“
Step 4: Now, a popup box will appear asking for “How do you want to search for driver software?”. From there, you have to choose the “Search automatically for updated driver software” option and allow the process to complete.
Step 5: The above step will now probably fix the NVIDIA Drivers Constantly Crash problem. If not, follow the further steps.
Step 6: Again in the popup box which appeared in step 4, you have to now choose the “Browse my computer for driver software“.
Step 7: Now, select “Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer.” See the image below for the reference.
Step 8: Finally, select the compatible driver from the list for your Nvidia Graphics Card and click Next.
Allow the above process to complete and then restart your PC to save the changes. After updating the Graphics Card driver, your problem of crashing will be fixed.
Method 3: Disable Vsync and select Maximum Performance in Nvidia Control Panel
Step 1: First, right-click on the desktop area then click NVIDIA Control Panel.
Step 2: Now, click on Manage 3D settings at the left side of the Window.
Step 3: In the 3D settings, set the power settings to Maximum Performance and turn off Vertical Sync.
Step 4: Now, click on the Apply button to save the changes.
Step 5: After completing the above procedure, now right-click on the battery icon on the system tray and select Power Options.
Step 6: In the Power Options window select High Performance under Choose or customize a power plan.
Step 7: Now finally, reboot your PC to save the changes properly.
This process will fix the NVIDIA Driver Crashing issue permanently.
