After the successful development of Cannon Lake, Intel is again set to release an another 14 NM chip processor which is code-named Coffee Lake. In the Investors Day Event which was held last week, Intel silently hints a new code-name Coffee Lake, which is the Intel 8th generation core processor. The releasing dates of Coffee lake are not confirmed yet, but it is expected to be released on second half of 2017.
Intel has announced the shipment of recent developed Cannon Lake processor which is the Intel’s codename for the 10-nanometer die shrink. It means that in the end of 2017 Cannon Lake processors will be installed in the PCs and Laptops. Intel is improving its chip performance by integrating latest technology in design and manufacturing with the release of every product.

What is Intel Coffee Lake?
In simple words, Coffee Lake is the codename for Intel’s 8th Generation Core Processor and is the upgraded version of Kaby Lake. Also, with the integration of Cannon Lake and Coffee Lake, and Advancing Moore’s Law in this 14nm chip, the 8th Gen Processor will provide 15% better performance than previous Kaby Lake 7th Gen processors.
After the introduction of 3rd 14nm chips in 2015, the “Tick-Tock” manufacturing process crashes. It seems like Intel is adopting new ways to interact with consumers, generally, Intel launches only one product every year. But the 8th generation processors with 14 NM chips will be the second one, after the recent release of Cannon Lake. For professional gamers and people who love high-performance processors, this Intel’s Coffee Lake will be the Godfather of the processors.
Coffee Lake Release Date
Coffee Lake – Intel’s 8th Generation Processor will be releasing on Mid or Last Months of 2017. Some rumors are also there that it will be coming next year i.e in 2018. But Intel had promised to ship the Cannon Lake chips in 2017. Therefore, the new systems would have Cannon Lake chips in them at the end of 2017. As Kaby Lake Chips are also new to the market, therefore this many also cause the delay in the release of Coffee Lake.
Architecture of Coffee Lake – Specifications
Possibly, this 8th generation core processor is the 8 core chip processor codenamed as Coffee Lake. In terms of speed, this processor will be way better than previous Kaby Lake Chips Processors. Also, Coffee Lake is rumored to consist of 15/28 Watt dual core U-chips with GT3e or GT2 technology and 35-45 H-chips with GT3e and up to 6 cores. These are just rumors, Intel had not mentioned these things in the last week’s Investors Day Event. As more specifications will come, I will update here.
What is the Price?
Well, the Intel Coffee Lake will be the most advanced 8th generation chipset, therefore the price of Intel Coffee Lake will be comparatively high then previous intel’s Kaby Lake Chip Processor. The price for Kaby Lake Core i7-7700K is around $339 US, so you should assume its price too. As right now, the Intel has not specified the price of this processor, but soon the price for intel’s coffee lake will be updated in this blog.
