India’s richest man and the Mumbai business Tycoon Mr. Mukesh Ambani’s Telecommunication Company Reliance recently launched new operations with Jio Network and is expected to cross the 100 million users mark just by simply offering Free 3 months Trial Subscription (free sim card) of its new cellular franchise Reliance Jio.

In a recent announcement, the Reliance may extend the free trial offer until the next year March 2017, as even after the TRAI’s ban on the reliance welcome offer couldn’t extend more than 3rd December. But Reliance strategically came up with a counter plan that the telecom regularity didn’t say anything about the restriction number of promotional offers.
Why it has to happen with Reliance’s Jio and not with other bigger existing Telcos ?
Isn’t it sounds astonishing to see a new player beating all bigger existing players like Airtel, Vodafone, Idea and grabs the fastest growing consumer segment across the entire nation. Why it actually happened ? Was it a miracle or do you see what I see ?
Here are top reasons why it happened only with R Jio and not with Other Bigger Telecom Operators :
- India is a country with more than 1.2 billion people and most internet consumers suffers from slow internet connections. With so many digital Indians, we still have one of the slowest internet connections across the entire world.
# Reliance understands this and sees a big opportunity to solve this problem, while other telcos trying to get richer and more profitable. Reliance aims to disrupt the ever growing India’s Internet consumer base.
2. Free Trial Subscription Offer :
When Ambani’s do something, they do it in style. After the decreasing and falling demands and network of Reliance Industries, they knew that to grab the intelligent internet consumer of India, they offered a plan that everyone would love to try.
They invested hugely approximately $15 billion in the Rio Infrastructure to build the digital India dreams from scratch and connecting the 2/3rd of non connecting Indians to the internet world.
Their free trial offer is what gives them a huge edge across the other competitors, they knew to capture the market, they need to provide good service (Speeds up to 40 MBPS with unlimited Data), while at the same time building a trust across its consumers by offering a trial plan.
3. Mouth of Word Publicity
When I was first introduced about Jio, its not the news or an advertisement. It was my Friend who told me that there is a big queue at Reliance sim sellers all across the markets to get a new Jio Sim along with LYF 4G Smart Phones, and they are offering 40mbps speeds with unlimited data for so cheap costs.
Now the ever frustrated digital youth of the country finally sees a new ray of hope because either the Internet connection in their area is too slow or they don’t have much to spend more than INR 200 for just 1GB of 3G data and that too with speeds less than 10 Mbps segment.

After Jio Launch, it was a dream come true for some where movies, live tv and music is no longer a rich man’s dream. Youtube videos was buffering in HD Quality at just the click of a button. Upload speeds are tremendously high and you enjoy unlimited data for 3 months (which later extended until 31st december )
Honestly it was the best strategy by Mr. Mukesh Ambani and the india’s biggest digital tech startup ever that really defined the real Digital India. Congratulations and much success to the Reliance Industries for doing a great job.
