How to Update Graphics Driver on Windows 10
When your task Manager is Flickering along with everything else on the screen than in that case, you need to remove your current video driver while your computer is in safe mode and then reinstall the latest driver update.
To start your computer in Safe Mode, you need to follow the steps given below:
Step-1: First you need to click on the Start menu and then click on the Setting button
Step-2: Now in the settings Window click on the Update & security option.
Step-3: Once you click on this option now on the left pane click on the Recovery option.
Step-4: Now click on the Restart now option which is right under the Advanced Startup option available at the right side of the Window. Check the image below for your reference.
Step-5: Once you click on the restart now option now click on the Troubleshoot option.
Step-6: After that click on Advanced options —–> Startup Setting option and then click on restart button.
Step-7: After your computer reboots, now you have to select the option 4 to start in Safe mode. Alternatively, you can also choose option 5 to start your computer in Safe Mode with Networking. Se the image below for your reference.
After your computer is restarted, you can now uninstall the Video Card. For doing this, follow these steps:
Step-1: First you need to open the Power User menu by pressing the Windows key + X key keyboard shortcut together at the same time.
Step-2: After this, you will see a list of options on the left side of your screen. From these options click on the Device Manager option.
Step-3: Now on the left pane double click on the Device adapters option to expand it.
Step-4: Once this option is expanded now right click on the driver and then click on the Uninstall option from the menu.
Step-5: Now after this, a new pop-up will open and here you have to click on the checkbox which is next to the option Delete the driver software for this device.
Step-6: Finally click on the OK button to confirm to complete the process and then restart your computer to allow the computer to apply the changes.
Now with the above steps, you driver is uninstalled. Now you have to again Restart your PC.
Now, After restarting your computer you have to reinstall the driver by the following steps:
Step-1: First click on the Start menu and then click on the Setting button
Step-2: Now in setting click on the Update & Security option.
Step-3: On the left pane click on the Windows Update option which is available at the top.
Step-4: On the right side Click on the Check for Updates button which is under update status option to download and install the latest video driver.
Windows Update always delivers the most compatible device drivers for your system, but it does not mean that they are the most recent version available. But if you don’t want to use the Windows update option then, in that case, you can also download and install the required driver manually from your graphics card manufacturer’s website.
How to Uninstall Incompatible Applications
There could be a number incompatible application on your computer that can cause the screen flickering issue but first, you should try to uninstall the third-party antivirus and applications which are designed for previous versions of Windows
To uninstall incompatible applications from your computer follow the steps given below:
Step-1: First you have to click on the Start menu and then click on the Setting button.
Step-2: After that click on the System option.
Step-3: Now on the left pane of the Window click on the App & features option.
Step-4: Once you clicked on the Apps & Features option now on the right side you can see the list of the applications installed on your computer.
Step-5: Now click on the third party application or the app which is causing the issue and then click on it to Uninstall. See the image above for your reference.
Step-6: Then you have to again click on the uninstall button to confirm that you permanently want to uninstall the app from your computer.
If you are uninstalling an app from the Store then there is no more action to take these steps will complete the process. However, if you’re uninstalling a traditional desktop application, then, in that case, you have to go through the uninstall process.
To uninstall incompatible applications from your computer you can also use Control Panel for this. To use this method follow the steps:
Step-1: First click on the search box available at the left bottom of the desktop and there type Control Panel.
Step-2: Now click on the Control Panel option available at the top.
Step-3: In the control panel click on Uninstall a program option.
Step-4: Once you clicked on that option list of application will be available on the right side and from this list select the application which you want to remove from your PC.
Step-5: After you have selected the application now click on the Uninstall option which is available next to Organize option.
Step-6: Now the process of Uninstallation will start and it will take few seconds to complete the process.
Once you uninstall the applications that may be causing the problem then you need to reboot your computer and check if that fixes the issue of screen flickering.
