But, if we talk about Apple iPhone there are not much applications available which you can use to hide the applications. So, if you want to safeguard for your data or wish to stop naughty kids from unraveling explicit contents, you can hide certain apps on your iPhone and iPad.
In Apple iPhone or iPad running on iOS 11, you can hide your applications just by enabling Restriction feature from settings. So, in this article, I am going to provide you the steps for hiding the stock as well as downloaded applications on your Apple iPhone and iPad. So, if you don’t want anyone to access your personal apps and use it, you can just hide them with these easy steps.
Steps to Hide Stock Apps on iPhone and iPad
For hiding the Stock Applications like Camera, FaceTime, Podcasts and more, you can follow these easy steps.
Step 1: First, open the Settings on your iPhone or iPad and go to the General Settings.
Step 2: After this, a new screen with various options related to general settings appear on your screen. From these options, select Restrictions.
Step 3: By default, this option is disabled. Now, tap on Enable Restrictions. After this, the system will ask you to set your Restrictions Passcode. After entering your password, you have enabled this feature.
Note: After setting up your password, do remember it because once you lost the password, it’s recovering steps are very lengthy and hard.
Step 4: Now, after enabling the Restrictions, now you will be able to hide stock apps like Camera, FaceTime, Podcasts and more. So, now tap on the Settings and then again in General.
Step 5: Again, tap on the Restrictions. This time, you will see it is On at the right corner of the column.
Step 6: Now, enter your iDevice’s Restrictions passcode which you have created in Step 3.
Step 7: After entering your Restrictions Passcode, you will see the list of stock applications with a switch. Now, Turn Off the switch next to the apps, which you want to hide.
After doing the last step, now you are done with hiding the stock apps of your iPhone and iPad. After hiding these apps, you can prevent others from making the in-app purchase, deleting apps on your device.
If you want to unhide the stock application which you had hide, you can do it easily by turning On the switch on Step 7.
The above steps are only for hiding the Stock apps. If you want to Hide the Downloaded applications of your Apple iPhone or iPad, then the steps are different.

Steps to Hide Downloaded Applications on Apple iPhone or iPad
Downloaded apps for iPhone can be hide using these simple steps. Some of the initial steps are same as above.
Step 1: Open the Settings on your iPhone or iPad and go to the General Settings.
Step 2: Now again tap on the Restrictions.
Step 3: Enter the Restriction Passcode created in the above step.
Step 4: In this step, there is a slight change. Now, scroll down to Allowed Content section and tap on Apps.
Step 5: After clicking on the Apps, you will see a new page will open on your screen. Now, you can either choose which type of apps to allow (tap on the particular age group) or just tap Don’t Allow Apps to hide all the apps. See the image below for your reference.
So, after allowing the apps, you are now done with hiding the downloaded apps. Now you can see that all the downloaded apps will be disabled from your iPhone or iPad. Don’t get worried because these apps are only hidden, not deleted from the phone.
If you want to unhide all the applications again, you can easily do it by doing all the above steps and on the 5th Step tap on the Allow Apps to unhide all the applications.
