Steps to Check Network Usage Using Setting App
Step-1: First you have to open the Setting application by clicking its icon which is available on the left-side of the Start menu or you can directly open it by pressing Windows logo key + I key together at the same time from your keyboard to open it.
Step-2: Once the setting app is launched on your PC now from the home screen of the setting application you have to click on the Network & Internet option.
Step-3: Now you have to click on the Data Usage option which is available on the left pane of the screen.
Step-4: After you click on data usage option now on the right side of the page under the Overview section you will see the total data usage from the last 30 days for Wi-Fi and Ethernet connection.
Step-5: Now click on the Usage details link which is right under the circle showing the data usage to view network data usage for all your applications installed on your computer.
With the help of the Settings app you can not only view the Universal Windows Platform (UWP) apps but also you can see the data usage for traditional desktop applications. But this view will not give you the option to reset the usage history or since the date when the data usage is being tracked.
Steps to Check Network Usage using Task Manager
Step-1: First you need to right click on the Windows 10 Start button and then click on the Task Manager option. You can also open the Task Manager by pressing CTRL+ALT+DEL keys altogether.
Step-2: If you see the smaller version of the Task Manager then you need to click on the More details button on the bottom left corner for the larger version.
Step-3: Once you clicked on the more details option a new window pop-up will open and here you have to click on the App history tab.
In the App history section, you can see the date since Windows 10 began monitoring the data usage on your applications. To reset the data usage counter you have to click on the Delete usage history link to reset the data usage counter, but always remember that it will reset automatically every 30 days.
