Now Let’s have a look at How to access a website that is restricted on your workstation by network admins and ISPs (Internet Service Provider).

Several ways to Unblock Websites:-

  1. Proxy Server
  2. HTTP and HTTPS
  3. Internet Options
  4. Using different DNS
  5. Virtual Private Network

1. Proxy Servers

Proxy Servers

Proxy Servers are useful tools that act as an intermediator between your computer and the websites you visit. When you can’t visit a blocked site directly, you can use a proxy server to visit. The proxy displays the blocked website and allows you to interact with it.

How to use the Proxy Server

Step 1 Open the website for the proxy service after that enter the URL of that website you want to unblock.

Step 2 Once you entered the URL, browse all the restricted sites you to open.

NOTE: – Free proxy servers sometimes slow down your browsing.

Some of the Best Proxy Sites are listed below: –

  1. Skull Proxy – is one of the rapid and ultimate proxy servers online available. You can surf all the web pages you want with all the privacy you needed.
  2. Hidester – is an anonymous web proxy – acting as your broker or “middleman”. Mainly used to avoid being snooped on by governments, multinationals, and cybercriminals,
  3. TOR – This is the widely used proxy software that is easily available and aims to conceal its users’ identities and their online activity from surveillance and traffic analysis by separating identification and routing. It is an implementation of onion routing, which encrypts and then randomly bounces communications through a network of relays run by volunteers around the globe.
  4. Kproxy – will block online to access foreign content like a local and websites come back to home when you are abroad.
  5. Hide My Ass – makes your service routes your Internet traffic through remote servers, so the websites cannot tell your location that where are you.

2. HTTP & HTTPS

https

As in order to allow access to blocked websites on your system you have to ADD or REMOVE ‘s’ from Http and Https,  The term “Https” represents a secure connection while the “Http” is the unencrypted version of the website URL. For example, typing in https://www.twitter.com may open it for you because only “http://www.twitter.com” was blocked.

3. Internet Options

By using these simple stems with your Internet, you can easily Unblock the websites you want if your Government allows.

Open Internet Explorer.

Step 1: Firstly Click on Tools and select Internet Options from Tools.

Step 2: And then Click on the Security tab.

Step 3: Once you click on the security tab, a box will appear on the screen and then Select Restricted Sites.

Step 4: Click on Sites you want to open on your browser.

Step 5: Click on the web address that you want to unblock and select Remove.

Once you are done with these steps, you are also done with unblocking of websites from your internet browser.

4. Using Different DNS

When some website is banned in an area, it is the ISP blocking traffic from that website. Changing DNS settings from your ISP to something different sometimes help you access the site. For example, you can change your DNS to Yahoo Public DNS. To change DNS, right-click the network icon in the taskbar and select Open Network and Sharing. In the Window that appears, double-click on your network. It will bring up a dialog box and there you can change the DNS under IPV4(INTERNET PROTOCOL VERSION 4).

5. Using VPN

VPN

Virtual Private Network is a type of network will establish a secure network tunnel between your PC and VPN server. When you connect your PC to a VPN server, all of your communication travels through that tunnel, so third parties can’t monitor it. In this setup, your online identity is your IP address and it becomes anonymized, and you can easily access blocked websites.

VPNs offer a higher level of security than proxy servers by keeping our data safe.
