Step-2: In the setting click on the System option

32-bit operating system, x64-based processor which means your computer is running a 32-bit version of Windows 10 on a 64-bit processor and can support 64-bit version.

32-bit operating system, x86-based processor which means that your computer is running a 32-bit version of Windows 10 and does not support 64-bit version.
64-bit operating system, x64-based processor means that you already have an installed 64-bit version of the Windows in your PC.
If You see the first option coming on the System type then you can install the 64-bit version.

Step-1: First open the start menu then in the search box type System Information and then press the Enter button.
Step-2: Now in system information click on system summary which is in the left pane and then look for System type on the right side. Here you will see one of the two things
x64-based PC – If you see x64-based PC then your computer is capable of running the 64-bit version of the Windows 10.
x86-based PC– If you see x86-based PCthen it means that your computer is not capable of running the 64-bit version of the Windows 10.
Now you are ready to instal the 64-bit version but first you need to create Windows Installation Media first by the steps explained below.
How to create Windows Installation Media
Step-1: To create installation media you need to connect a USB drive with available space of at least 4GB of space.
Step-2: Now visit Microsoft Windows 10 downloading page
Step-3: From this page download Media Creation Tool and save it to your desktop. To download click the download tool now button.
Step-4: Double click on Media creation tool.exe file to open install it and click on Accept button to complete the process.
Step-5: After the tool is successfully installed in your computer a pop up will open there select the Create Installation Media for another PC option and then click on Next button.
Step-6: Now select your language, Edition and the Architecture option in which you need to select 64-bit (x64)
Step-7: Make sure to uncheck the use the recommended option for this PC option.
Step-8: Click on USB flash drive option and then click on Next button.
Step-9: Then select the removable drive from the list and click on Next button.
Step-10: After the installation media is successfully created close the media creation tool.
How to Install a 64-bitversion of Windows 10
Step-1: First restart your computer with the installation media connected to your PC and start the process of installation of the 64-bit version of Windows 10.
Step-2: On the Windows 10 setup click on Next button and then select Install now option.

Step-4: Accept the license agreement and then click on Next button to continue.

Step-6: The next thing is to select and delete the system partitions which is named as Drive 0 Partition 1 & Drive 0 Partition 2.
Step-7: Finally click on Next button and then follow the on-screen direction to complete the installation process.
After the installation is complete download the latest drivers and updates by the following path
Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update
Also, restore your files from the backup that you have created before installing the Latest Windows 64-bit version.
If some of the latest drivers are not available through the Windows update then you need to check your manufacturer website and then install the 64-bit version of the driver you need.
